Proposals for the Spanish Federation of Large Families

The Spanish Federation of Large Families has opened a public survey so that families can write directly the proposals that they think would help them and also offers the possibility to vote on those ideas that are most valued, and then be able to structure them and present them to the government.

Some ideas have caught my attention, others have enchanted me and, on the other hand, others do not seem good proposals to me although I understand that families with many children would help them.

The most valued so far include the possibility of requesting a monthly amount of help per dependent child regardless of the number of children or income, or that the IRPF reductions are not as strict according to income to incentivize large families.

I have also read that it is requested that the concept of large family is not reviewed when the children reach the age of majority, especially if they live with the parents or are studying, so that the little ones enjoy the same consideration and advantages as the elders.

They have also proposed tax aid to the IBI, reductions in the prices of services such as electricity and water, aid for the purchase of housing or bonds that contribute to making discounts on purchases of essential products, as well as favoring large families in the awarding of dining scholarships.

I especially liked the proposal requesting that caring for a large family count as quoted time, because the difficulty of joining the labor world is greater the more time you have spent raising children, which is largely conditioned because it will be greater when the number of them is greater, and, of course, because educating and Caring for children is one of the most important productive activities in society.

Finally, I highlight the proposal that they be accepted alternative educational models to the official school.

Many families invest a lot of time and money in giving each child the education they need. If you accept the school check, flexischooling, homeschooling ... without the current social pressure, or the legal vacuum existing in Spain, with which Spanish families are at a clear disadvantage compared to other democratic countries and our environment, it would be , really, applying the beautiful law that parents are the first and fundamental educators of the offspring. As the people who know them best and who care most about them, we could look for the options and alternatives that seem most appropriate for each of them. School spending would be optimized and individualized and, surely, school failure would decrease.

The Spanish Federation of Large Families It is a non-profit, independent and non-denominational entity that represents and defends the interests of large families and has been Declared a Public Utility Entity since 2003.

The objective of the Spanish Federation of Large Families is to obtain the social and economic recognition that corresponds to them for their special contribution to society and, consequently, to grant them facilities in the access to goods and services, both public and private.

The truth is that this way of collecting the concerns and proposals of Spanish families has seemed great to me and I think it can be used so that their needs and ideas are better heard. I encourage you to visit their page.
