Childhood in art, UNICEF's book for its 60th anniversary

On the occasion of UNICEF's 60th anniversary - Spanish Committee, they presented the book “Children in Art”To publicize the meaning of childhood through art seen from the eyes and the brush of artists such as Diego Velásquez, Joaquín Sorolla, Francisco Goya or Pablo Picasso.

This initiative has had the collaboration of the Friends of the Prado Museum Foundation and the sponsorship of Fertiberia. With a single circulation of 2,000 copies, he has had great professionals from the world of art and culture to carry out the contents, Francisco Calvo Serraller, Professor of Art History (Introduction), Carlos García Gual, Professor of Greek Philology (Greek Art) , Gonzalo M. Borrás Gualis, Professor of Art History Middle Ages and Old Regime), Carmen Iglesias, academic (XVIII century), Javier Barón, chief curator of the 19th century painting department at the Prado Museum (19th century) and the philosopher José Antonio Marina (20th century).

In addition to showing the representation of childhood, it also reflects the perspective and intends to denounce the work that remains to be done so that all children have a future secured.
