You dare? See what idea to make a rolling case without using needle or thread

There are times when I think that having few skills with the needle and thread is a disadvantage, the last time it happened to me was last week in full Carnivals. Finishing children's costumes by hand was possible, although expensive, and I needed (I guess) five times as much time as I would have invested in having minimal knowledge (and a sewing machine).

They were good, really ... even up close, which is enough, but this has made me rethink many things and soon I will participate in a very basic sewing workshop (I can still gain a few minutes to my daily life if I reorganize myself).

And still, I really appreciate the beautiful crafts for which you don't need (really) to know how to sew, just a little bit of skill and patience, and having the materials that we are going to need. This is the case of this case for roller paintings, which Carla gives us from Small Friendly.

Necessary materials:

  • Felt (It is ideal because it does not fray), pencil, ruler, cuter, cord.

How it is done:

After trimming the piece that we will need (I calculate about 15 wide by 40 long), ensuring that the cut is clean and straight, we prepare to make the marks. These will be half a centimeter, the same distance between them. Calculate well the position of the pencils so that they are at the same distance from the top and bottom edge (with the landscape), so you have to practice duplicate marks: up and down.

Then we cut them with a cutter, and finally we practice two small holes in one of the lateral ends (with a punch) to pass the cord with which to knot once rolled.

Now You can already have the paintings of the children ordered (although they have many) instead of scattered around a box. What do you think?
