Trips and getaways to do with children in Spain this Christmas

Now, on Friday the school for the kids is over and in a few hours we will be celebrating Christmas Eve. Once those most familiar days have passed we can think about doing some getaway with the children, since after so much Christmas carol and eaters fancy to make different plans.

Traveling is an extraordinary way to educate our children ... and it is also very fun. That's why I'm going to recommend a few trips and getaways to do with children in Spain this Christmas. The adventure begins:

Asturias

I have to admit that Asturias has been my national destination of 2013. I will remember this getaway with great affection because it was the first one that my oldest son and I did alone, because the mom had a few weeks ago that she had had the little one of the house. In addition to discovering dream seascapes in Luarca or Lastres, children can have a great time being farmers for a day, enjoy the entertaining program of the Gijón Aquarium, take a boat ride along the Villaviciosa estuary in the Comarca de la Sidra, feel miners for a few hours at the Samuño Valley Mining Ecomuseum or explorers at the Jurassic Museum of Asturias.

Girona Pyrenees

For dads and adventurous children the Pirineu de Girona is waiting for you with endless active experiences, especially related to winter sports. We can first visit the beautiful Girona and then have as a base of operations some of the picturesque Pyrenean villages where we will find the peace and services necessary for our family to rest. From there, we have four extraordinary ski resorts at your fingertips where children can have fun with the snow: La Molina, Masella, Vall de Núria or Vallter 2000.

Alcoy (Alicante)

Here a little mud for home, since it is my hometown. However, Christmas in this Alicante town is full of activities for the little ones. One of the most interesting is the Betlem of Tirisiti, a very fun puppet theater function in which they narrate the adventures of the Holy Family in their flight to Egypt mixed with completely anachronistic elements of the Alcoyan culture. Another unavoidable event is the Three Kings Cavalcade of Alcoy, considered the oldest in the world.

Cordova

For those looking for a bit more temperate climates, the Caliphate city is perfect and full of attractions for young and old. At Christmas they also open the most extraordinary Cordovan patios and are full of activities for the whole family. On these dates it is also interesting to do with the troop the Route of the Nativity scenes. The one that most often impacts children is the one located in the Palacio de Congresos (next to the Mosque) since it is a living nativity scene.

I hope you liked these trips and getaways to do with children in Spain this ChristmasIn the next few days we will continue discovering more fun plans.
