Do you like these beautiful Carnival glasses for children?

Two days ago Marcos anticipated the Toy Planet catalog for the next Carnivals, and if any of you have been surprised by this announcement because he thinks it is too early yet, I have to say that Carnival Tuesday this year will be February 12. The date is marked by Holy Week, which as every year coincides with the first full moon of Spring. In order not to get involved in calculating, we know that from Palm Sunday (immediately before Easter Sunday) until Ash Wednesday, 40 days pass (Lent), and before this last date Carnivals are closed.

I have found these original carnival glasses to do with children and I think it is a very simple craft to do with our children. It meets two requirements that are fundamental for me when doing an activity of this type: they can be done in an afternoon, and we don't need too specific materials. Maria José from El Peler Workshop, has included in the original entry three templates to download and be able to do turtle-shaped glasses, car and dinner of chips and soda. Once we have the idea we can innovate much more and dare to make the head of a cat, a book to read, a starry sky, and even a pair of shoes, would you dare?

What do we need?

  • Colored cards, or white cardboard, or thin cardboard, acrylic paints and brushes, scissors, white glue, glue stick, and ornaments such as glitter, small and transparent beads, shiny gomets, etc.

How to make our glasses?

We print the template and we pass it to cardboard or cardboard. After we cut the different motifs and color them, another idea to get color is to transfer the parts of the same drawing separately on cardboard of different colors, then paste them on the base.

The pins to hold these fantastic glasses stick to the inside of the glasses by the tab that we will have previously folded. Now we can only decorate if we believe it necessary and let dry, we have ready the children's glasses to wear during the next carnivals.
