Stunning images of the early hours of the human embryo

It is hard to imagine that the creation of a life is so perfect, but technological advances make us have the possibility to understand it better thanks to stunning images like the ones I bring you today of the first hours of the human embryo.

They have been achieved thanks to a pioneering technique that appeared about two years ago called Embryoscope, which was presented at the time as the future of in vitro fertilization by being able to increase the chances of pregnancy by 20 percent.

Embryoscope It is implanted in a significant number of fertility centers and consists of a new incubator with a video camera that records its development. It allows to obtain images of the embryo in its first days before being implanted in the womb of the mother, which is very useful to select the embryos that have a higher quality.

In the video you can see the complex cell divisions that occur from the union of the ovum and the sperm and the formation of the zygote (first fertilized cell) until the creation of the morula, named because it resembles a blackberry. In humans it is formed by up to 32 blastomeres four days after fertilization.

Every time I see these types of images, I keep surprising myself.
