Amazon just presented the program designed for children called Kindle Free Time Unlimited. It is a service based on that for a fixed monthly fee you have free access to all the content you want. It is an exclusive promotion for Kindle Fire and Kindle Fire HD products. It is an initiative that gather content for children including books, games, educational applications, movies and television programs exclusively for children aged 3 to 8 years.
Kindle Fire supports parental control to restrict internet access, make purchases of content or make parents' libraries not accessible when used by children. In addition these tablets are designed to withstand accidental bumps and scratches.
The program offers unlimited access to titles, applications and games for Android, for a monthly fee that, at least in the United States, is $ 2.99 per month (less than three euros).
I have not been able to find on the Amazon.es page, if the news also applies to Spain. The clue was given to us by Enrique Dans in his blog in which he indicated that Amazon's proposal and its service associated with Kindle Fire is intended to create users for their device among children. And it is that they are accustomed to using technology in their learning processes, in their leisure time and in their moment of reading shared with parents.
To me the proposal seems spectacular and I am convinced that Amazon, at least in the United States, subscribers will increase significantly. If in your home you want to have a device from which to look at totally free content and with an attractive catalog of thousands of options that I imagine will be expanding, the Amazon offer seems very complete and attractive. In addition, as Enrique Dans says, it is likely that many of today's young customers will evolve in the future to similar content access solutions with subscription payment.

The generators of content, applications and books will have to be attentive to this revolution derived from recurring income with unlimited access to their works.
