Riding the night on a seahorse (and we resting)

Motivating and facilitating the learning of a baby, when one is learning to be a first-time mother, is one of the most exciting and enriching tasks I have been able to enjoy. Every day and every night is a adventure and not even the best entertainment film could reflect the carousel of emotions, sensations and learning that it implies day after day.

Until the first arrive sleepless nights

Trying, searching, dreaming ...

From the moment your tummy starts to notice and everyone shares the joy of the good news, you hear terms like attachments hundreds of times or routine. You, in your experience of life do not pay attention, think: what nonsense to believe that all babies are governed by similar patterns! .

Then come the questions that hit you in the middle of the night, what have I done wrong? Too much milk, too much cereal, too little bottle, heat, cold, full, hungry, crisis?

With time you reflect, you dare to try with that of the attachment objects because time and lack of sleep run against you and your work and family life. And on a wonderful and magical day you see that when the baby wakes up in the middle of the night or when he goes to sleep, he does it in a more pleasant way if he has become accustomed to having the same inseparable friend to hug every day and to What to feel at night. To calm him down, to place him in the dark place and to serve as a temporary replacement for Mommy.

Sleeping (and finally resting!)

I have two tricks: one, put several pacifiers in the crib to make it easier to find one at night and another, never forget your favorite doll, essential in your suitcase as much as your diapers or your bottle.

The attachment doll, which, as recommended by the pediatrician, should be chosen by us and not by him, will help the baby to calm down, to feel a known presence at his side in the dark of the night, to calm down if he wakes up and fall asleep new. And we finally sleep, rest and prepare for the exciting task of parenting the next day.

An ideal attachment toy is the seahorse sweet dreams. When the baby squeezes the seahorse, it lights up with a soft light and emits lullabies and relaxing sea sounds. And something very relevant, it turns off automatically after approximately 5 minutes so that it is not revealed and we turn the remedy into disease.

With his attachment object, the baby has learned to calm himself down, which is a relief for our rest and I have learned that YES, that calm, routine and attachment objects give him security and tranquility and help him mature Your emotions and affections. The nights begin to resemble what you remembered before the wonderful arrival of the baby and that, for someone like me with continuous trips, changes of crib and environment, is one of the greatest discoveries to which I attach more importance than the America of Columbus.
