In the Madrid's community an initiative called “Ecoheroes or local heroes” which aims to put travelers in contact with people who live in the area and can publicize development projects in the Sierra. The challenge is to promote the region, care and protection of the area and also disseminate the many attractions of the future Sierra del Guadarrama National Park.
In the presentation of the initiative, as can be read on the pages of the Community of Madrid on the Internet, eco-heroes participate in restocking, make cheeses or repair hives, know the most attractive roads and also have identified the best places to take photographs. Apparently the project starts with 13 ecoheroes who will be happy to share their knowledge of photography, climbing, cycling, etc.
The proposal seems to me to be a great idea and an example of where the future of tourism in Spain can go. Because in this way the traveler experiences the destination in a novel way, with access to local realities and with the option of living cultural and traditional values that are increasingly demanded and demanded.
Also, on the page Nomaders Candidates can already be found for travelers, tourists or interested parties to choose the best routes, routes and places to enjoy. And it is that the thrust that the initiative can have on social networks can make the initiative a success, although that will depend fundamentally on the ability to communicate and share experiences that travelers and eco-heroes have.
