Spot of the campaign "Having rights changes your life"

Last week, among others, this campaign spot "Having rights changes your life" that disseminates information about respected birth. Performed by the National Program of Sexual Health and Responsible Procreation of the Ministry of Health of the Nation of Argentina.

The campaign aims to make citizens aware of sexual and reproductive rights and consists of a series of videos, among them, which explains what are the rights of people who are going to have a child.

The spot also offers information for users who can detect and report cases of obstetric violence, something that in Argentina is typified and recognized as a form of specific violence against women.

They explain that women have the right to decide about their body and their child, not to be separated from the baby, to have their partner enter the birth, to choose the position to give birth and not to have an episiotomy. The father also has rights, such as attending the birth of his son.

Even, and that seems to me remarkable, users have a phone at their disposal to consult what they need and to report if they have suffered obstetric violence.

Excellent initiative of this campaign of spots "Having rights changes your life". Argentina is light years ahead of us regarding the recognition of the right to a respected birth and the recognition of the existence of obstetric violence, something that in Spain is still denied to happen as such.
