Dismantle the nativity scene

They are days of preparation for the return to daily obligations, for most children on the last day before returning to school. Rushed game days, wanting to take advantage of every second with gifts. And also days of collect the nativity scene and disassemble the tree, a melancholic task and, depending on the number and type of ornaments we have used, dirty and tired.

We can choose two ways to do it, always adapting to the age of the children. If they are small and are playing today, it is perhaps better to delay the collection to a time when they are not at home and take advantage today to enjoy in your company.

Further, if we have put moss or tinsel, after saving everything, you have to clean it well and vacuum it thoroughly, and we will be hindering you in your games. So, with young children, it is better to give us some time and not rush in the collection. In addition, they are often sad to see the house without much joy. Maybe even if we give each other a week, they want to collaborate with us.

But if the children are older and all from tomorrow we are going to go again very caught in time, we can find an hour today to collect all together. They will like to feel useful, say goodbye to Christmas and help us to culminate in family these special days. We can ask you to carefully pick up the balls (if they are not made of glass) or wrap the figurines and put them in the boxes.

Actually, if we are purist belenistas, we should leave the nativity scene to Candelaria, which is what my mother said and did when we were little. It is February 2, the date of the Presentation in the Temple. If it does not hinder us much, then nothing happens to leave it. Especially if it is not very cumbersome, and we have used a toy nativity scene like the one I used to illustrate the article, which my son, as a child, loved and played very much.

With Christmas music in the background this will also be part of the common memories, because, basically, children, they value nothing more than the time spent with us and the shared activities. We are going to disassemble the nativity scene as a family. Merry Christmas goodbye.
