A few days ago Lola showed us how we could make tangerine pumpkins to decorate the Halloween table, a great idea if you have small children.
If you also want to decorate the table, or the house, because you may want to put them away from children's hands, with a little more real “pumpkins”, you can easily make some Halloween mini-cafes made with oranges (my children hallucinate with them).
To do them we only need six things: oranges, desire to eat oranges, a knife, a spoon, a pen and candles. Let's see below how to do them step by step.
To start we have to open the oranges above, to create the hole where the candle will enter and to have space to empty it with a spoon.
Once opened we take a spoon and start eating the orange. I have eaten one, but all three, well no ... I leave the decision in your hands.
It is a bit laborious, so on the walls it will be necessary to make a little force to take off the pulp.
The next step, once empty, will be open the orange a little below (little), removing a piece smaller than the upper one, so that the orange is held vertically (and in passing we take the central membrane that was so hard to remove with the spoon).
Then, we will draw the face of the three oranges with a pen, to have a guide on where to cut with the knife.
Let's do it. We take the first orange and with a knife that ends in a tip we begin to remove pieces to get the face of the pumpkins. It may be good to put the finger inside the orange to hold the skin a little at the time of cutting and not to sink too much. Mind you, be very careful with your finger.
Once you are done, you only have to put the candles. If you have how to light them while the candles are inside, perfect. If, like me, you only have a lighter that was at home, I recommend you put the candle on a spoon and light it. Once lit, you can slowly put it in the mini-car with the spoon, which will serve to finish placing it well through the mouth.
