Recently the winning works of the III Children's Story Contest "Breastfeeding and Parenting" organized by the Catalan Federation of Breastfeeding Support Groups.

The winning stories should collect experiences and stories that bring the experience of breastfeeding and respectful parenting to children.

This year's winning story, written by Mónica Calaf and illustrated by Mikel Fuentes is titled "You, me and the tit" and collects the experience of a mother and her child with breastfeeding, taking a shared tour of the moments and situations experienced by both.

The work is scheduled to be published in the first half of 2011 by Ob Stare and will be published in Catalan and Spanish.

The rest of the winning stories, among which the one sent by Dr. Ibone Olza, can be consulted on the page of the Catalan Federation of Breastfeeding Support Groups.

The contest has already had two previous editions, in which many authors participated and beautiful stories were brought to the public. On this occasion, a total of 62 stories were presented, 21 written in Catalan and 41 written in Spanish.

Most of the participants sent their works from places other than Spain, of which 30 were from Catalonia and 13 from Madrid. In addition there were three works from other countries.

Bringing breastfeeding to children is a way to normalize it in society and encourage them to decide in the future that their own children will also have their tit. That's why actions like this III Story Contest "Breastfeeding and Parenting" I think they are a very positive initiative.
