Bad news about the use of child restraint systems

These days back on vacation, the media in Spain take stock of accidents on the roads. Although the number of accidents drops compared to other years, the use of child restraint systems leaves bad news.

Or, rather, the non-use of these systems that provide security for the little ones when we travel by car. Because child victims have doubled over last year, and almost half of deceased children were not subject to any retention system.

As experts say, you cannot know how many of those children would have survived, but what is clear is that the figure would be lower.

I find it very rare nowadays to see a child travel by car without going in a car seat, but it seems to be more common than we think, and up to 40% of children travel without safety measures necessary.

Measures that save lives, on long or short journeys. However, I have ever heard that "total, is here next", or "a few years ago we traveled with nothing" ...

To which we can respond, that, apart from the dangers for the child (about those who do not seem to be aware of those who make these comments), the driver runs the risk of paying a fine of 300 euros and losing three points of the driving license.

But for all the data we have today, we do not get tired of insisting on the need to use child restraint systems correctly in the car.
