What is surrealism? Who have been the great painters of history? Is sculpture an art? These and many other questions that might seem like adults can arouse the curiosity of the little ones if they are well posed. It is what we found in Enredarte, an educational portal that brings art to children.
Here we find games, drawings to print and color, animated sequences and the possibility of navigating in a fun way through different contents and famous works of art.
Enredarte is an initiative of the Mapfre Foundation, always aware of the little ones, and this time he directs his activities to different age groups. As it collects interesting exhibitions held in different parts of the world, it offers the opportunity to prepare our visit if we go with children.
For each of the exhibitions there are recreational activities that parents can do with children, and also the Foundation offers workshop visits designed for families. And it is that a museum does not have to be something of elders, and of course they are not boring for children if we know how to taste their interest.
The educational portal Enredarte is a new educational program on the Internet linked to the artistic exhibitions of different institutions, museums and foundations in Spain and Latin America, with which it is intended to unite art and education. A quality tool that serves different ages since children are very young.
We are especially interested in multimedia educational resources about art, accessible from home and schools. In the "Play and learn" section, proposals for children from 6 to 12 years old, from 12 to 16 and over 16 are incorporated.
Most activities and games for 6 years are perfectly achievable by younger children, who with our help can color drawings, complete puzzles or enter the most famous paintings in history to discover their secrets.
There are also videos that will get your attention, such as Cartoon related to artistic movements, and different arts are linked, mentioning music, painting, photography, cinema ... At the moment the themes are Impressionism, Surrealism and photography in the history of Chile.
We hope that the contents will soon be expanded and new movements and works of art will appear to discover new and interesting topics.
There is a section dedicated to teachers and competitions, but ultimately the educational portal Enredarte will help us to bring art to the little ones in a playful way, learning and discovering curiosities that will also get our attention.
