What you couldn't even smell during pregnancy

As a complement to the curious collection of cravings during pregnancy, today we propose a walk on the opposite side of tastes and desires. Because we would love to know what is it that disliked you during pregnancy, to the point that you couldn't stand the smell.

Food, drinks, body odors, cosmetic products, cleaning products ... surely you have varied examples of what you couldn't even smell when you were pregnant.

Probably those odors are associated with nausea, but it doesn't have to. Simply, overnight, you have to change that hair softener that you liked so much. Or stop eating lamb, squid or oranges. And even change the way of doing laundry, because now you can't stand the smell of clothes.

In my case I have to say that in my second pregnancy the list has been lower (although nausea, on the other hand, greater), but from the first pregnancy I do remember what I could not even smell (or try), at least for a few months : orange and laundry softener.

The orange thing may have its explanation: after a weekend away from home, some orange peels had remained and were half decomposed with a strong smell on the way back. I could not get close to the oranges, however healthy and fresh they were, or in juice. It may also be that my body rejected them to avoid acidity problems, I know.

For the softener of the clothes I find no explanation, but at first I had to move the sheets away from the face to not smell ... Until we changed brands, fragrances and a few months later I was not so sensitive.

I also disliked the smell of tobacco (a great help to quit smoking altogether) and coffee (I haven't been drinking for years, but I usually find its smell pleasant). The smell of "fritanga" also caused me rejection.

Curiously, as I say, in my second pregnancy these aversions did not recur (however I had more nausea), although I do remember one of my colonies that I had to leave for a few months later.

What is it that you couldn't even smell during pregnancy? Did it affect you a lot? Is there anything left of that aversion after having given birth? We would like to know what your experiences have been, to see if you surprise us with new data, such as that eagerness for pickles mysteriously developed by many pregnant women ...
