"Educate at home day by day" It is a book presented by the ALE Association in the recent edition of Bioculture in Madrid. It is a compendium of experiences, both from families in Spain, and from the rest of Europe, which They educate at home.
They also have the contribution of studies conducted by Paula Rothermel, a renowned psychologist in the United Kingdom, and a mandatory reference in the European field of home education, and with the contribution of Madalen Goiria, Professor of Civil Law at the University of Basque Country.
The Association for Free Education (ALE) was born in January 2003 with the aim of bringing together the interests of those families who teach their children consciously and responsibly at home and choose to object to traditional schooling. They offer social and emotional support to families and try to normalize this way of teaching and sensitize society to the different educational needs of today's children.
At this time, they seek to achieve, within the Spanish state, the same recognition that Home Schooling enjoys in almost all the countries of the European Union, in North America, Australia and Asia because in Spain we find ourselves in a disadvantageous situation compared to to other countries in our economic and cultural environment that have more educational options to offer their children apart from the traditional school.
The reasons why ALE families educate at home are diverse: pedagogical, ideological, moral, religious, and consider that they correspond to the specific educational needs of their children, since, in most cases, families have realized that the State has not managed, through conventional schools, to offer concrete solutions to the needs of their children.
