Photographer Beatriz Álvarez performs beautiful photographic reports of pregnancy for free to mothers who are interested. The project he works on is now a series of studies on pregnant mothers.
As he explains the type of photography he likes the most is the portrait. She is the mother of a three-year-old girl and motherhood made her feel a special bond with pregnant mothers.
A year ago he had the opportunity to take pictures of his sister-in-law while she was pregnant. The experience was so rewarding, so when he saw that his neighbor was pregnant, he proposed to take some pictures and she accepted. Again it turned out to be a very beautiful experience.
The portrait in general is passionate because it combines photography itself with the dealings with people. He explains that the photograph of pregnant women goes a little further, which surprises him how the body of the pregnant woman can transmit both tenderness and strength and sensuality.
The moms she photographed have thanked her for taking the photos but she considers that she has enriched herself greatly with both experiences. It has been something so emotionally and experientially enriching that he does not feel like leaving it here and that is why he is still looking for pregnant moms who want to have that photographic memory.
The truth is that the photos are wonderful and I would have loved to have a memory like this of my pregnancy.
