Climb with a baby to the Eiffel Tower

We were fortunate to know the experience of our partner Elda traveling through Paris with her child and her baby, and a week ago I also went to the city of light with my 6 month old baby. He had already been on two other occasions in Paris, but this time he was imposing himself a new goal: climb to the top of the Eiffel Tower.

The elevators of the Eiffel Tower are very spacious (2 stories) and allow baby carriages. Yes, the strollers have to be foldable (either in one piece or in two, if the legs are folded it is fine). If not, they do not allow entry. You have to make sure of this question before, let's not be queuing uselessly.

We must also assess the amount of row that we must save. On other occasions I have seen huge queues of no less than an hour and a half waiting. In this case we were lucky and there was no more than half an hour at the base (we climbed the Pilar Oeste). And keep in mind that in the second level we will make an elevator change, for which we must wait again forming another row, and climb some narrow spiral stairs if we have accessed on the first floor of the first elevator.

This was a surprise not too pleasant, since we had to disassemble the cart and upload it by parts and the baby in arms. Luckily we were a lot of family! If not, I have no doubt that someone would have helped me. In this case the line to access the last elevator was much narrower and even the cart was difficult to fold in the zigzags that order it.

It was at the end of this second queue when you have to disassemble and fold the cart again to pass the last control and to the elevator that will take us to the top, this one, of smaller dimensions. Luckily, after waiting for such a queue, upon reaching the last level there is a small sheltered space with incredible views of the city, and small seats where I took the opportunity to feed my baby.

Only climbing the last stairs is outdoors (yes, there is a fence that prevents peeking), but since it was so windy we had to take turns leaving the baby in a safe place.

In the end, it is worth not backing down those small inconveniences with the stroller and the narrowness and if the small ones are quiet, the wait will not be long. Mar seemed to like to look out, very smiling, behind the glass to see the city of light, and of course, the elders also enjoyed it. We keep unforgettable photos of the moment, and it will surely remain in our memory as a beautiful memory, and so we will transmit it to the little girl.
