Database on recalled children's products

A new initiative of the Canadian Government will allow consumers in that country to access through the network a database with information on children's products that have been recalled, whether toys, clothing, accessories, food, etc. This is a large work in which products have been contemplated for twelve years, the idea is very interesting and can prevent certain children's products from being sold behind the backs of the competent bodies. In some countries there are clandestine stores that are responsible for putting into circulation certain products that were once removed or banned, the owners refuse to lose money and usually resell the products to other stores that are responsible for distributing them fraudulently.

The reasons for the existence of a database of these characteristics are several, although they are mostly informative and of great value to parents, such initiatives allow us to expand the safety margin, since we can know exactly which companies, which products , what are the risks or why certain items have been removed. This type of information should be considered more up-to-date in our country, fortunately the OCU (Consumer Organization) looks after our interests and especially those of the little ones.
