The Asturian Association of Primary Care Pediatrics, requests improvements to adequately care for children

Apparently, in the Asturian Community there are several shortcomings that do not allow children to be adequately cared for, pediatricians, obstetricians, radiologists, etc. are lacking, health is an elementary right and, in particular, child health must be taken care of. The lack of the necessary means to care for children has caused the Asturian Association of Primary Care Pediatrics to denounce the situation.

This association requests the pertinent improvements of the health system that allow one of the most necessary, best and highest level of health and well-being objectives to be fulfilled in the population and especially in children.

The work carried out by a pediatrician is essential, thanks to the follow-up carried out from the moment the child is born, different health problems can be prevented by guaranteeing adequate development, so it is necessary that pediatricians have everything they need to reach fulfill this function Surely more than one reader could tell us about the different deficiencies suffered by the health of your locality, adequate planning developed by the health authorities is necessary to be able to replace all those faults that are reported, try to improve the service offered, since it it depends that the follow-ups that are made to the children are adequate.

The Asturian Association of Primary Care Pediatrics requests information from the competent bodies on what the action will be, if they will improve the current health system or, on the contrary, they intend to imitate other Spanish communities where various proposals have arisen that are expected to be Family doctors who care for children.

The pediatrician is a more appropriate specialist to follow up, for this he has completed his studies dedicated exclusively to child health, we do not believe that a family doctor can act the same as a pediatrician.
