101 songs to sleep your baby: classical music, instrumental versions of modern songs and much more

One of the situations with which we struggle with some new parents is when it is time to sleep our baby. Either because we are tired or because our baby does not seem to relax even if we set the room for his nap or bedtime, sometimes we need a little support.

As music is something that helps many babies relax and fall asleep more easily, today I have a little gift: a playlist with 101 songs to sleep your baby.

Applications with relaxing sounds

Fortunately With the support of our smartphones or tablets, finding a baby sleeping remedy can be easier and faster than we think. Previously I had shared in another article a list of nine applications with music to relax the baby.

Unlike this new playlist, those applications mostly included only two types of music: the classic nannies we all know and the rhythmic sounds They have become famous for being magical when it comes to sleeping our baby, such as the sound of a hair dryer, the smooth rhythm of a washing machine or the rumor of cars.

While these two musical options work for many babies, also there are other alternatives to help you relax and sleep, even songs or melodies that were not composed for these purposes, but that also come great for the occasion.

The relaxing effect of music

Music is an art that is characterized by organizing sounds and silences in a sensitive and orderly manner, in order to compose a piece that is pleasing to us. If we think a little, we will realize that Music is the art that accompanies us in each and every one of our emotions.

A joyful melody can raise our mood, while other types of compositions help us focus better for those times when we need to study or pay special attention to certain things. There is music for every occasion and feeling, and music can even be an excellent therapy for our children in various situations.

Therefore, it is not surprising that one of the benefits of music is precisely what this playlist I created: relax and sleep. Regularly the music that helps calm the baby is that with soft sounds and melodies, which does not include many drastic changes in volume or rhythm speed.

Now, while this is the kind of music that relaxes most babies (and sometimes us too when we're helping them sleep), they don't necessarily have to be the classic nannies, in reality this can vary a lot from baby to baby and there will be some who relax listening only to piano songs or some other instrument in particular, such as the ukulele.

What will you find in the playlist

For this playlist that I have prepared with special affection and dedication, I have decided to include, in addition to some known melodies and classical nannies, another type of music that was not necessarily intended for babies.

  • Piano music. The piano is one of the most used instruments for melodies that help the mind to clear and relax. Most of the songs in this playlist are soft pieces performed on the piano.

  • Soft versions of popular songs. In addition to the classic, I wanted to integrate some modern and well-known songs. You can find instrumental versions of some very popular as "Someone like you"from Adele and"All of Me"by John Legend or classics like"Yesterday"from The Beatles.

  • Movie soundtrack. Some songs from Disney movies have been adapted to the piano, giving us magnificent and smooth interpretations of classic songs that will undoubtedly later identify our kids. My favorite is "Colors of the wind"of Pocahontas and"A whole new world"from Aladdin.

  • Music for meditation. Finally, I added to the list music specially designed for meditation, whose purpose is to relax deeply.

Then the playlist with 101 songs to sleep your baby. I hope you find it useful, although I must warn you: you could fall asleep too.
