Beautiful photos of premature babies dressed as Christmas presents

On Halloween, we saw premature babies disguised as superheroes thanks to an initiative of the March of Dimes, a foundation dedicated to promoting health in pregnancy and babies, and now, at Christmas In the same hospital, St. Luke of Kansas City, they wanted to symbolize the joy of having these babies disguising them as Christmas presents.

A group of volunteers worked for weeks to give this surprise to the parents of 31 premature babies and once ready, the photographer Sally Morrow captured the images of the children.

Babies were dressed as small Christmas packages with handmade hats. They also carried a card with beautiful messages for parents.

Parents of premature babies know how disconcerting these moments can be, when the baby arrives early and nothing is as you expected. The babies will pass his first Christmas at the hospital ICU, and they will be very emotional parties for families.

The babies and their parents also received the visit of Santa Claus to give a normal atmosphere in these special dates.

A beautiful way to raise awareness about the importance of caring for premature babies and celebrate them as a gift of life that they are as they struggle to continue growing and finally be able to go home.
