The CSIC publishing house participates with its book and monograph contents in the Book Citation Index (BkCI)

The CSIC Editorial received in May 2013 the invitation to participate with its contents of books and monographs in the Book Citation Index (BkCI) developed by Thomson-Reuters. The publishers included in BkCI are qualified with a criterion of high academic value and excellence. The types of editorial content are, fundamentally, books and monographs published as a collection or in isolation, conference proceedings, doctoral theses, dissertations, textbooks aimed at the environment of advanced university education and high-level scientific audience, etc.

The BkCI restricted its academic sources to content published in English although this initial restriction has already been removed, and allows incorporating content in other languages. Editorial CSIC makes a significant contribution in Spanish, in both printed and electronic formats.

Currently, the CSIC Editorial, thanks to the extension and quality of its printed and digital funds and a remarkable European and American projection, has become one of the most prestigious academic publishers in Spain, with a catalog consisting of more than 2200 books covering all scientific disciplines and 37 scientific journals, which appear in the most prestigious international databases.

Between the publishers included in BkCI there are Cambridge University Press, MIT Press, Elsevier, Springer, University of California Press, Palgrave Macmillan, Routledge, University of Chicago Press and Princeton University Press.

The inclusion of Editorial CSIC reinforces its role as a scientific and academic editorial at national and international level, an activity that the CSIC has considered essential since its inception.

I encourage you to take a look at the extensive catalog of Editorial CSIC and especially to subscribe to its newsletter to receive periodic updates and news of its contents.
