We want to congratulate the Spanish interactive publishing house DADA Company because it has been awarded the Bologna Ragazzi Digital Award 2013 in the fiction category by application For four corners of nothing. It is an application available for iPhone, iPad and Android devices.
The Bologna Children's Book Fair is the most important international event dedicated to the publishing industry specifically aimed at children and is a great recognition for DADA Company because they competed more than 195 applications from 128 publishers in 30 countries.
From DADA Company they inform us that this delicious story tells the desperate attempt of a square to fit in a round hole to meet friends. The application, inspired by the work of Jérôme Ruillier, shows that the transition from paper to digital media does not have to be sophisticated, as long as we have a good story. The message of the story, the difficulty to fit in childhood, has been what attracted the attention of the jury congratulating themselves because the geometric shapes were so funny and emotional.
The original soundtrack is composed by Daniel Heredero, creator of the Pocoyo series. In addition, the use of simple geometric shapes allows values such as friendship, participation, companionship, equality and social integration. In the Apple store you can find the application for 2.69 euros.
