"Let's go to the pool!" an app for children to learn basic safety rules in the pool

In Babies and More we are very committed to the safety of children in summer. The pool season has begun and we will not get tired of remembering the importance of not losing sight of the little ones for a second while they are in the water.

In addition to constant supervision, we must implement other preventive advice as well as teach them to swim as soon as possible. But children must also be aware of the danger that certain practices may entail and what better way than an interactive story to explain the safety rules to follow this summer: Let's go to the pool!

An app to teach children the safety measures in the pool

The app "Let's go to the pool!" It has been developed by Abrisud in the framework of the VII Child Safety Campaign in the Pool, which the company starts up every year.

This Campaign, prepared together with the Segovian School of Lifeguard includes a report on the evolution of child drowning in Spain in the last 5 years, data that will undoubtedly make us aware of the importance of enjoying a safe bath.

But also thinking of the little ones we can download the app "Let's go to the pool!" for what our children learn in a fun way to enjoy the pool without risks.

"Let's go to the pool!" is a cross-platform hybrid application based on interactive videos and aimed at children between two and eight years old. Its graphic style combines traditional illustration with digital technology so that the children of the house learn in a fun way, the essential safety tips for a safe bathroom.

The app introduces 10 basic safety tips for the little ones in the house and what are they:

  • Never bathe alone, there always has to be an older person with you

  • Put on the life jacket in the pool until you learn to swim like the older ones. You will see how fun!

  • The water in the pool is cold, take a shower before getting used to it and enter slowly, never suddenly.

  • If you know how to throw your head, do it from the edge of the pool, very close to the water, and always in the deepest part so as not to hit your head with the bottom.

  • The curbs and slides slide a lot, do not run near them, you could fall.

  • Do not leave toys in the pool. Pick them up before getting out of the water. Other children may fall while trying to catch them.

  • If you see that a child has been harmed or something can happen, ask the Lifeguard or an elderly person for help.

  • To protect your skin and not burn, it is best not to spend a lot of time in the sun, and always wear sunscreen and a cap.

  • The fences and pool covers are so you don't hurt yourself. Do not open them without your parents' permission.

  • And finally, the funniest tip of all: learn to swim perfectly and you will enjoy the pool safely.

Through this application, children will interact with a child who will ask questions in an entertaining way, and that they must answer correctly in order to continue playing and leveling up. In this way, they will reinforce your attention and memorize the basic safety standards, and all this while playing and having fun.
